Outcome Methodology Effect
Cut any trees in the past year (self-reported), asked 1 and a half years after the offer of the program Randomized Controlled Trial (Average Intention-to-Treat Parameter) Magnitude: -0.140, Standard error: 0.034, Counterfactual mean: 0.453
Allowed others to gather firewood from own forest (self-reported), asked 1 and a half years after the offer of the program Randomized Controlled Trial (Average Intention-to-Treat Parameter) Magnitude: -0.170, Standard error: 0.033, Counterfactual mean: 0.427
Increased patrolling of the forest in the last 2 years (self-reported), asked 1 and a half years after the offer of the program Randomized Controlled Trial (Average Intention-to-Treat Parameter) Magnitude: 0.109, Standard error: 0.039, Counterfactual mean: 0.378
Variation in tree cover at baseline and tree cover 1 and a half years after the offer of the program (in logarithm points, at the village level) Randomized Controlled Trial (Average Intention-to-Treat Parameter) Magnitude: -0.052, Standard error: 0.021, Counterfactual mean: 0.095
